Replacing missing teeth: comfortable and natural

Our practice provides personalized denture services that meet the needs and comfort levels of our patients. All of our patients are unique and we create one-of-a-kind dentures that feel good and look natural.
Can you explain what Dentures are?
Dentures are removable replacement teeth that look natural. There are two types of dentures: full and partial.
- Full Dentures when all natural teeth have been extracted. Conventional full dentures are placed after the gums have healed, which may take several months. Immediate full dentures are placed right after teeth extraction and may need frequent adjustments in the first few months of use.
- Partial Dentures are made up of artificial teeth attached to an acrylic or metal base that fits between natural teeth. They are used to fill in gaps left by missing permanent teeth and are a removable alternative to bridges.

Denture Care
Maintaining your dentures is essential for keeping your mouth clean and free of bacteria. Follow these tips to ensure your smile stays healthy:
To ensure the safety of your dentures, always handle them over a clean, folded towel or a sink full of water to prevent breakage if they are accidentally dropped. Remember to brush your dentures daily with a soft-bristled brush to remove plaque and tartar build-up, being careful not to damage the plastic. Rinse your dentures after each meal and use a gentle cleanser, such as mild hand or dish soap, to keep them clean. Make sure to choose products with the ADA seal of approval or consult your dentist for recommendations. When not wearing your dentures, keep them moist in a denture cleaning solution or water to prevent drying out or damage. Additionally, maintain the cleanliness of your gums and tongue with a soft-bristled brush every day, even if you have a full set of dentures.
If your dentures happen to break, please reach out to our practice to schedule an appointment promptly. Ill-fitting broken dentures can lead to gum and mouth irritation. Additionally, don't forget to maintain regular dental checkups every six months to ensure a healthy smile for years to come.
