When leaving the college, simply head southeast on S 41st street for 0.1 mi, taking a right onto State Hwy 31 W. Continue southwest on State Hwy 31 for 0.8 mi, passing the Burger King on your right and the Aldi on your left simultaneously before taking a left just after passing the Cicis. Meet Dr. Rishank Korupolu
Dr. Rishank Korupolu was born in India but moved to the US at the young age of 3. He has lived in various areas around the country; such as, Maryland, New York, Florida, California, and now Texas. Dr. Korupolu received his B.S. in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Florida, which he then graduated from the University of Southern California for his D.D.S. degree.
While attending dental school, Dr. Korupolu developed his passion in treating children by volunteering at the mobile dental clinics. He also completed a selective pediatric and general dentistry externship at the La Maestra Community Health Clinic in San Diego, CA. Dr. Korupolu is an active member of the Texas Dental Association and American Dental Association.
Meet Dr. Todd Whitfield
Dr. Todd Whitfield grew up in Weatherford, Oklahoma, and always dreamed of becoming a dentist. He pursued his college degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. After graduation, he was aggressively recruited by several colleges for dentistry and he selected the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, for its reputation as having one of the finest clinical dentistry programs in the nation. It was there that he completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1989.
Dr. Whitfield’s first post-graduate position was working at the United States Public Health Service from 1989-1991. He was very fortunate that oral surgeon, Dr. Mark Waller instructed him on complicated tooth extractions, thus advancing his knowledge of oral surgery.
Meet Dr. Steven Blackburn
Dr. Blackburn earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry graduating first in his class. After practicing for three years as a general dentist, he entered the orthodontic residency program at the University of Detroit Mercy earning both a M.S and a certificate in orthodontics.
Dr. Blackburn’s first interest in orthodontics began after being so impressed with the smile transformation achieved by his orthodontist as a teenager. He wants his patients to enjoy their time in treatment and wants them to be happy and confident with their new smile at the end of treatment.
Meet Dr. Thamen Evans
Dr. Thamen Evans earned her dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1993 after being inspired by compassionate healthcare mentors who shaped her passion for dentistry. With decades of experience serving patients in the Grand Prairie and Duncanville communities, she is dedicated to providing personalized dental care for both children and adults. Dr. Thamen is committed to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a welcoming environment. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her two children, walking outdoors, birdwatching, taking golf lessons, and tutoring students for the Spelling Bee.
